GreyBeard Actual LLC is a service disabled veteran owned small business. We provide advanced training in firearms, tactics, and combatives to law enforcement, military, private security contractors, and responsible armed citizens. Our training model draws on decades of operational, competitive and instructional experience, and our sole goal is to enable our students to master their craft as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Our primary instructor, Matthew Little, is a US Army Special Forces combat veteran who has extensive law enforcement experience, including serving as training coordinator and an operational supervisor on a major metropolitan SWAT team, and has worked as a government contractor in non-permissive environments. Additionally, Matt is a lifelong martial artist and former national level competitor. He is also ranked as a grandmaster class shooter with pistol and carbine by the US Practical Shooting Association, and is a master class shooter in both the Steel Challenge Shooting Association and the International Defensive Pistol Association. Matt has also received numerous tactical shooting skill awards, including Turbo Pin #14, Three Sevens Coin #33, and the Refactor Tactical Kill Card patch. He has instructed foreign and US military personnel and police officers, martial artists, and civilians. This instructional experience was not solely academic, as he was usually then leading his students operationally either in combat or in arguably the most violent major city in North America. Along with his operational, competitive, and instructional experience, Matt is passionate about his own training. He has completed numerous military and law enforcement training courses and continues to train with many of the industry’s top instructors as often as possible. Matt is now a published author, with articles in leading industry magazines, and a best-selling book called “The way is in Training.”

Our adjunct instructors are drawn from current and former law enforcement and military special operations personnel, and will be selected based on the class being taught as well as the target audience. This enables us to not only tailor the training of each class to the needs of the student group, but also to offer custom training packages on a wide variety of topics on request. We leverage the experience of our instructors in order to provide the best possible training outcome for each and every client. For specialty classes and custom training requests, SME instructors will be brought in as needed.

Our chief operations officer, Angela Little, leverages over two decades of prior business experience to ensure that our training runs smoothly and all of our customer’s needs are met in a timely and professional fashion. In addition to handling all aspects of the business, Angela is also an avid shooter herself who has completed many hundreds of hours of formal firearms training and shoots competitively as well, holding a B class ranking in the US Practical Shooting Association. She is a former nationally-competitive athlete and experienced yoga instructor who leverages the mindfulness and performance development aspects learned in those pursuits in her shooting practice and firearms instruction. Angela is often the assistant instructor in our open enrollment courses, and teaches a variety of women-only and beginner’s classes.

At GreyBeard Actual, LLC, our intent is not to entertain, or simply run practice sessions for our students. We view our role as coaches and our students as athletes. Our classes are intended to provide insights that our students can take back to their own training in order to shorten their own path to mastery. We want to shortcut the learning curve so that each student can avoid detours and dead ends in their training journey.
